Paper As Textile

When I was researching about different visual materials, it reminded me of the design course I took last year in which the project was to design and make a wedding dress.. entirely out of paper.

I stumbled across this site while trying to find some of the best dresses used for competition and it seems there's more to just using paper.

Using such material may obviously seem cheap and cheesy but with an artistic mind and a patient heart, the final result can be quite stunning and unexpected! I still remember folding those hundreds of tissue paper thinking what's it worth for but ultimately when the dress was produced, it was totally worth the effort :)
