Best piece this semester?? ( at least in my opinion!)

Hey everyone! Throughout this semester I've had the chance to create a number of interesting and unique illustration pieces. Some turned out good but I'd say the rest were fairly decent :O

The favorite piece that I chose was from the Colour in Context course and the assignment was for us to study a specific artist and imitate the style of his/her works. My artist that I researched on was Frank Stella and he was well known for the movement of minimalism, abstract expressionism and also the merging of sculptures, installation and pop art altogether.

We were assigned to create a butterfly image according to the artist's specific choice of color, art style, medium, techniques etc. I think that this assignment gave me a lot of insight in an artist's inspiration and what motivates them to create such beautiful creative pieces. The whole process was memorable and in the end I think this product turned out to be the more successful, and the one I liked the most.
